Sean Dotson, Esq.

Mr. Dotson has litigated Colorado workers’ compensation cases on behalf of employers and insurers for 16 years.  Mr. Dotson graduated from the University of Denver College of Law as a member of the Order of St. Ives (top ten percent of graduating class). When he graduated from law school and took the Colorado Bar Examination, his bar examination scores were in the top 2% among the 700 or so law school graduates that sat for the examination.  Before embarking on his legal career, Mr. Dotson worked as a claims adjuster where he adjusted thousands of Colorado workers’ compensation claims. All told, Sean has been involved in the Colorado workers’ compensation system for over 24 years. Throughout his legal career, Mr. Dotson has utilized experience he gained as an adjuster to identify cost and handling issues critical to employer and insurer clients.  Mr. Dotson is proud of the claims adjusting background that helps him understand the “nuts and bolts” of his client’s operations so that he can better provide client-centered representation. Sean takes pride in the fact that he brings, not only, his legal training to every case he handles, but, also, his understanding of the challenges that claims professionals face in their day to day lives.   Although Mr. Dotson will carry out his client’s lawful wishes and litigate issues to conclusion, he believes it is every attorney’s obligation to advise clients of all options available to address a dispute.
